Hello Friends, Today we gonna make Chicken Steak,requested by one of our Subscriber. I am using Chicken Breast and Pressed down with hammer. So It expands, looks good and cooks properly. Chicken steak on stove, it is too juicy and so soft. Always use meat without bone and for the steak take chicken breast. Take out water from it as much as possible, remove extra fat from the chicken.
Now, this is a perfect low-calorie restaurant style chicken steak, made on the tawa and it's so easy to make it home. Chicken is one of the most popular Indian's dish and I'm sure most of you love to have some non-veg recipes in your weight loss journey. Since I got so many requests for non veg weight loss recipes. I thought it is best to start with chicken recipe.
Chicken breasts are included in many popular eating plans, especially when they’re designed for weight loss and muscle building. Its high-protein, low-carbohydrate combo works well in diets and it’s often more appealing than just eating vegetables alone. Many customers prefer to buy chicken breast. For some of them, it is enough for a week,while serious athletes could consume it in a single day. According to different sources, an 8 ounces raw chicken breast contains around 50 grams protein. After cooking, however, 8 ounces of fried or baked chicken breast contains about 70 grams of protein. If you need very accurate data, carefully check product labels before buying any product. I should admit that nutritional facts about the same product differ in available databases and on supermarket shelves. You should know that 80 % of the calories you can get from 8 ounces of chicken breast come from protein. The remaining 20 % of the calories are fat. If you are not a fan of chicken breasts but still want to take advantage of their beneficial protein, you can replace them with chicken thighs. The thigh offers enough protein with the additional benefit of providing more nutrients. It is also cheaper—you just need to deal with a bone when preparing or eating. Salmon is also a good replacement for chicken breast. A serving of 8 ounces of salmon provides 46 grams of protein. It does contain a bit more fat than chicken breasts. Does it provide enough protein? On average, 70 grams are enough to provide your body the amount of protein it needs per day if you lead a sedentary lifestyle. According to the Dietary Reference Intake,people need 0.36 grams of protein per pound of body weight every day. This number is the recommended requirementof the human body to operate and prevent protein deficiency. However, your body needs more to exercise and also during low carb diets. In these cases, you even need to double your protein intake.
Chicken breast is made in a traditional clay tandoor, you can call it as a traditional oven made with mud and charcoal and hence it is difficult to get that subtle smoky flavor from the charcoal. When we make it at home, so I have a secret and innovative method to bring out the smokey restaurant like flavor into my chicken and this method can be done even without a piece of charcoal. I mean living in Bihar charcoal is not something i can get.
you should use preferably boneless chicken breast rather than thighs or legs so without much wasting your time, let's get started now.
Why to use kashmiri chilli powder instead of ordinary chilli powder? Kashmiri chilli powder has less heat and i like to use it because it gives a nice red vibrant color and if you are using ordinary chlili powder reduced by half. Now, it is the kashmiri chilli which is giving this vibrant red color and hence there is no need to use any artificial color.
So once it is nicely mixed cover it with a tight lid and I prefer to keep this in the fridge overnight but if you are in a hurry keep this marinated for at least 4 hours the curd and the lemon juice will tenderize the chicken and make it soft and juicy. How to give smokey flavour? Now let's give the smokey restaurant flavour and for that since I don't have any charcoal. I am using a coconut shell instead, I have taken a small piece of shell and place it over the fire and once it starts to burn simply shake and put off the fire and immediately place it on a small katori. Note that the katori or small bowl is on top of the marinated chicken and quickly drizzle a little bit of ghee over it and you will see the smoke coming out almost immediately. Now cover it with a larger lid and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes or until the smoke has diminished.
INGREDIENTS :-
- Boneless Chicken Breast Piece - 2
- Curd - 1 tbsp
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chaat Masala - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
- Butter - 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice - 1tsp
- Ginger and garlic paste - 1tbsp
- Salt according to taste
- First, we have to keep chicken breast piece for marignation.
- Put some cuts on chicken piece.
- And for that, take a bowl and put chicken breast piece.
- Now, add cumin powder, Coriander powder, salt, red chilli powder, lemon juice, Curd, Chaat Masala,ginger and garlic paste, Garam masala and mix all.
- Now cover it and leave it for minimum 45 minutes for marination.
- One important thing, chicken breast piece must be coated perfectly with species.
- After 45 minutes, heat a grilling pan and add butter to it.
- Now, grill the marinate chicken for 3 minutes on high flame than turn it.
- And again turn it and cook it for 2 min on low flame and again turn it.
- Now put some grated cheese in between the cuts on chicken and cook for 1 min on low flame.
- And once both the sides are roasted well. Switch off the flame and then serve it hot.
- Serve it with white sauce. (I will share white sauce Recipe if you want).
I can eat 10 to 12 Roti with this chicken stick with white sauce or vanilla cake and with added 🥗 salad n coke, BEST CHEF🌼🌾
