Today, I made my family’s favorite ‘Restaurant Style Egg Biryani’ which everyone also calls ‘Pressure Cooker Egg Biryani or Mughlai Egg Biryani too. All of them love it.
Egg Biryani or Anda Biryani is a flavorful and delicious Indian rice preparation where rice is cooked with a spicy egg layer.Some things important :
Use best quality rice to make biryani.Always wipe the eggs before frying them. It will prevent them from spluttering. Also make sure to poke them with a fork or toothpick before frying.Be careful while frying the eggs as they splatter a lot. You can cover the pan with a lid while the eggs are frying.Golden fried onions is a very important ingredient to make a good biryani.Always measure the rice from cup or a glass, if you are taking one cup or one glass of rice, take 1.5 glass of water and if you are taking 2 Cup or 2 Glass of rice then take 2.5 glass of water.
In this time of unlockdown, there is no easier and better food than this. It will take only 40 to 45 minutes to prepared. So guys what are you waiting for go and cook it. And of course, the most important thing is that you people will not forget to tell me how much you like it..
- Oil – 5 tbsp to fry onion
- Onion – 5 thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 Tbsp Garlic Paste
- 2 Tbsp Chopped Almonds – optional
- 1 Cup Plain Yogurt
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 10 Fresh Mint Leaves
- Oil – 4 tbsp to make masala
- Ghee - 4 tbsp
- Cinnamon Stick – 1 broken into 2-3 pieces
- Bay Leaf - 2
- Green Cardamom - 2
- Cloves - 2
- Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 Tbsp
- Cumin Powder - 1 Tbsp
- Garam Masala - 1 Tbsp
- Turmeric – 1 Tbsp
- Red Chili Powder – 1 Tbsp
- Biryani masala - 3 tbsp
- Salt – as per taste
- Tomato - 1 finely chopped
- Egg - 6 boiled
- Biryani rice - 2 cup
- Boil and peel the eggs and poke them with a toothpick or fork. Keep it aside.
- Take cooker and add oil(4 tbsp) to it.
- Heat oil, deep fry the finely chopped onions till it turns golden brown.
- Take out the fried onion on the kitchen towel to absorb extra oil.
- Add little turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt in the eggs and mix it properly.
- In the same oil (cooker) shallow fry the eggs for 2 minutes on medium flame.
- Take out the fried eggs from the cooker, keep it aside for further use.
- Now Add in heat oil (cooker), :cumin seeds, bay leaves, green cardamom, cloves and green chilli and fry it for few seconds.
- Add onions and fry it for 2 minutes on medium flame, keep stirring in between.
- Add ginger garlic paste and cook it for 1/2 minute on medium flame.
- Add 2 tomato (chopped). Cook for 30sec.
- Add : salt, coriander powder, black pepper,, cumin powder, garam masala and shahi biryani masala, mix it and cook it for 2 minute.
- Now add yogurt. And cook it for 1min.
- Add 2.25 glass of water and salt, stir it well.
- By then, Wash the rice with plain water and don't soak it into water. Drain all the water from it.
- Now Add rice(half) than add the fried eggs and onion and coriander leaves or mint leaves than add the remaining rice.
- Pour ghee over the rice.
- Close the lid of pressure cooker and cook the rice for 2 whistles on high flame and 1 whistle on medium flame.
- After 3 whistles, turn off the flame and let the cooker cool down completely.
