Lasaniya Veg Momos
Today, let's make something new.
Do you all love momos? Oh! Yes we all love momos. This is lipsmackingly yummy Momos. It is similar to chilli garlic momos but something different from it.. That's why I gave the name lasaniya Momos. Name wise it is lasaniya momos and taste wise it is fantastic.
I ate Momo for the first time when I was in class 8.. It was normal steam momos but from that day I fall in love with momos.
I use to go out and eat momos, but in the present time I cannot go anywhere, so I thought why not to make it at home..
Hope you all will give this a try and let me know how much you like it. One thing, it taste amazing when served hot....
INGREDIENTS :-
Refined flour - 200 grams
- Water - 1cup
Schezwan sauce - 1/2 tbsp
- Capsicum - 2 pieces (finely chopped)
Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Cabbage - 1small (grated)
Fresh coriander leaves
- Green chilli - 3 chopped
Soy sauce - 2 tbsp
- Onion - 2 pieces (finely chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Oil to fry
Salt to taste
- Corn starch - 1 tbsp
Black pepper - 1 pinch
Spring onion bulbs sliced - 3-4
Tomato ketchup - 3 tbsp
- Carrot - 1piece(finely chopped)
Spring onion greens sliced for garnish
Dough-
- Take a bowl: add maida, salt and water
- use minimal quantity of water to make a stiff dough
- It will be rough in texture, so to make a soft leave it for 2 minutes and after 2min knid it properly
- Now we will cover it with a cloth and let rest it for 15 minutes.
- Chop the onion, cabbage, carrot, Capsicum and green chilli very finely.
- Add salt according to your taste.
- A Pinch of black pepper powder.
- Little bit of spring onion beans.
- Mix all very properly.
- You can also add oil or butter. it will keep our filling moist.
- First divide the dough into small pieces. From this dough we can prepared at least 18 to 20 momos of larger size, if you want small size momos than you can prepare 20 to 25momos.
- Take a rolling pin or Chakla and begin rolling it about 4 in diameter
- Place one or two tablespoon of the filing in the centre after rolling it.
- After that make the plates and give the well shape to your momos.
- Follow the same step and prepare your all momos.
- No we can fry the momos Or steam the momos steam it for only 10 minutes and if you are frying it than only for one minute..
- Steam momos are more softer than fried momos.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic paste, don't cook it too much, just about 20 second.
- Than add 4 tablespoons of filings, mix it well. Cook it for 30 seconds.
- Add capsicum (chopped into small pieces), 2 green chill (spice you like), schezwan sauce(first mix it with 2spoon of water), soy sauce, tomatoes sauce.
- Than add salt and black pepper and mix all on medium flame. Cook it for 1 minute
- After 1min add some water(1/4cup).
- No we have to make it thicker and for that take some cornstrach first mixed with water then add.cook it for 3 min
- Now we will add our momos to it. Cook it for 2 - 3 min. Add 4 tablespoons of water and cover it with a lead For 2 min.
- Turn off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Lasaniya veg Momos is ready, serve it hot..
