CHANA CHATT MASALA
Today's recipe is too easy and healthy. It takes only 15 minutes to be prepared and it is healthy too, you can serve with to your children also. As you know, it's a channa masala chat and chana is healthy, most of people take chikpea for morning breakfast also.
Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are part of the legume family. As a rich source of vitamins, minerals and fiber, chickpeas may offer a variety of health benefits, such as improving digestion, aiding weight management and reducing the risk of several diseases. Chickpeas are a great source of plant-based protein, making them an appropriate food choice for those who do not eat animal products. I want to share with you a new recipe in the same recipes, that you can take it as a morning breakfast also but the thing is you have to skip frying. There are two ways to take it as a morning breakfast. The first is, just soak the chana overnight or 5 hours, then add onion, tomato, green chilli, salt, Cumin powder, and lemon juice. And second way is,boil tgr chickpeas after soaking and use the same method as above add onion, tomato, all masala powder, green chilli and lemon juice. I have shared all three ways to make this chana Chaat. Now it depends upon you, how you make it and I assure you in all three ways you will love it. INGREDIENTS :-
- Chikpea - 2cup (chana)
- Potatoes - 2 boiled and chopped
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
- Hing - 1 pinch
- Onions - 2 chopped
- Green chilli - 3 chopped
- Salt according to taste
Masala- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/3 tsp
- Black salt - 1tsp
- Mango powder - 1 tsp
- Chatt masala - 1tsp
METHOD :-
- Soak the Chikpea for over night or for 5 hrs.
- Than boil the Chikpea. ( till 3 whistle).
- Take a small bowl, add all masala and water - 3 tbsp. Mix all.
- Now, heat a pan and add 3 tbsp oil.
- When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds, hing and Ginger paste.
- Saute it for 30 sec. Than add the masala mixture.
- Cook it till it releases oil. Than add the boiled Chikpea and cook it for 3-5 min.
- Now, add boiled chopped potatoes.
- Taste the Chikpea than add salt as per taste. Now cook the Chikpea with potatoes for 2 min. Than turn off the flame.
- Keep it into a bowl and let it cool.
- Than add chopped onions, green chilli, tomato and if you have Coriander leaves than you can add it also.
- Mix all and add half lemon juice.
- Serve it as per your choice..
