This chicken biryani recipe has been one of my favorite food and  most requested reader recipes and I’m so excited to share it with you today. So guys!,, juicy pieces of chicken are cooked in a Curd marinade and then layered with crispy onions, coriander, and basmati rice to give you a dish that the entire family will enjoy. I’ve written the process step by step and made a recipe video for this chicken biryani so that you can make this restaurant style biryani at home. 

Fried onions are a key ingredient here, and its important to get this right. Onions are cut into slices and then browned on medium flame in oil. Don't fry it more as it can be burnt. Are you confused? Which rice will be best for Biryani!!! I am here for you guys, don't be confused. You can buy the basmati rice( tell the shopkeeper rice for biryani) of any company. I used this one:-


Chicken is a good quality protein and when combined with rice, spices and yogurt, it makes a healthy and yummy like every classic chicken biryani should be. Just serve it piping hot with a raita and salad and wait for all the praises coming your way! And let me know how much you like it... 








INGREDIENTS


Marination:-

  • Chicken - 500gms
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp

  • Curd - 4 tbsp
  • Salt according to taste
  • Cumin powder - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp(kashmiri)
  • Red chilli powder - according to your spice
  • Biryani masala powder - 4 tbsp
  • Ginger and garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 tbsp 
  • Green chilli - 2

Biryani:-


  • Ghee - 4 tbsp

  • Oil for cooking
  • Cinnamon Stick – 1 broken into 2-3 pieces
  • Bay Leaf - 2
  • Cumic seed - 1 tbsp
  • Green Cardamom - 2
  • Cloves - 2
  • Red chilli - 2 piece 
  • Rice - 2 cup (basmati rice) 
  • Coriander leaves - chopped 

  • Water - 2.5 cup

METHOD:-



MARINATION

  • Take a bowl: add chicken pieces, ginger and garlic paste, cumin powder, Coriander powder, salt as per taste, red chilli powder (kashmiri and spicy both),turmeric powder, black pepper and Biryani masala. 
  • Mix all properly and cover it with a lid,leave it for 30mins.

Biryani

 

  • After 30 minutes, heat a cooker. 
  • Pour oil into it and than add Cloves, bay leaves, red chillies, cinnamon, green cardamom, cumic seeds and saute it for 30sec. 
  • Now add Marinated chicken and cook it for 10 minutes. 
  • Wash rice two times and drain all water. And keep it aside for 15 min(don't keep it more than 15min).
  • Than, add : 2.5 cup water and half of the rice.
  • Now scattered the fried onion and the remaining rice. 
  • Spread Coriander leaves and ghee. 
  • Add half tbsp of salt if required. 
  • Now cover the lid of the cooker and cook it till 1 whistle r on high flame. 
  • Now turn off the flame
  • When the pressure goes down than open the lid. 

CRISPY ONIONS:


  • Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium high heat. Cook onion, in batches, for 3 to 4 minutes, until golden brown. Don't burn - they become bitter.

  • Remove onto paper towel lined plate. Repeat with remaining onion.

Home-made Gulab Jamun Recipe

Hello, Welcome to Repast Love. Today we are going to prepare Gulab Jamun. It is one of the popular Indian desserts in parties, weddings and festivals. These deep fried soaked sugar syrup balls are delight to relish.  Festivals are incomplete without sweets. But the high adulteration ruins the mood.
